2 children smile after having their golf cart automobile repaired in warrentonThis is Emma Coggins, daughter of Warrenton Auto Service’s operations manager, James Coggins. She is a typical 2 ½ year old girl in many ways. She adores sister time with her twin Noelle and enjoys playing with her dolls. She is a sweet and loving spirit.

On July 5 of this year, Emma was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), a cancer affecting the bone marrow and blood.

The good news is that most children go into remission following treatment. Emma stands a very good chance of getting better. Of course, it is going to be a long haul for everyone involved.

The duration of therapy for most children facing this disease is 2 to 3 years. The cost associated with medical treatment (excluding supplies) typically rises above six figures. Even with insurance coverage, the remaining balance is substantial. These financial woes are further compounded by the fact that both parents will be away from their jobs for long stretches of time to be with their daughter. And despite the crises at hand, those regular household bills still need to be paid.

With daddy James, mommy Jennifer and sister Noelle all focused on boosting Emma’s spirits, our team is anxious to tackle some of the financial burden on their behalf. That’s why we are asking you to help us help Emma.

On Saturday October 3, you’re invited to join Warrenton Auto Service for an afternoon benefit. All funds raised will go toward assisting the Coggins’ with Emma’s ongoing treatments. Given the fun lineup of planned activities, we’re sure Emma would approve.

Warrenton Auto Service's Silent Auction and Fun Family EventEmma Coggins Benefit

Saturday, October 3, 2015

12 Noon to 5pm

Warrenton Auto Service

281 East Shirley Avenue Warrenton

Wee Bounce Party Rentals is kindly donating a Moon Bounce structure that will transform the parking lot into a designated Kid Zone, a place where our young guests can hop around to their heart’s content. And what child doesn’t love balloons and popcorn? We’ll have plenty of both available on the day.

In addition to the children’s activities, there will be a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. Some of the items up for bid will be supplied by the following companies

Smokie Joe’s BBQ will be here to serve up their Carolina Pork and Texas style Beef Brisket. If wings are your thing, Buffalo Wild Wings will be in attendance to cater to your cravings. It is shaping up to be a fun event.

So far, little Emma has already undergone a spinal tap during the first phase of her chemotherapy. It’s been tough, but she’s a trooper.

We ask everyone to visit Emma’s fundraising page. All donations are appreciated. Remember to share Emma’s story with everyone you know. Together we can help a good family get through a terrible time. #emmawilltriumph
